A well-known local business executive has found herself a new position. 

Corina Moore, who resigned from her position the president and CEO and Ontario Northland in October of 2022, has been named the new executive vice president for Transportation and Infrastructure for WSP Canada. 

“Corina has been a recognized leader in the transportation industry for many years. Her industry experience and collaborative approach make her an ideal fit to lead our Transportation and Infrastructure sector,” stated Marie-Claude Dumas, president and chief executive officer for WSP in Canada.

Moore is excited about the new opportunity. 

“I’m thrilled to be leading the Transportation and Infrastructure division at WSP, an amazing global engineering and professional services organization,” she stated on social media.  

“I am so impressed with the level of skill and passion of the employees, the impact of the projects across so many important sectors, and the caring and accountable culture that I will continue to progress.”

Moore spent 17 years with Ontario Northland, joining the company in 2005 as its director of telecommunications. She held multiple senior leadership positions, including chief operating officer, eventually being named president and chief executive officer in 2014. 

At WSP, the company says she’ll lead a Canadian transportation and infrastructure team dedicated to developing sustainable solutions for communities.

Corina will officially join the team on Jan. 15, 2024, and will work out of the company’s downtown Toronto office.

Selected as one of three of Canada’s Most Powerful CEO’s by WXN’s Diversity Council Canada in 2021, Moore has been recognized as an influential female trailblazer who has a passion for employee engagement, innovation, exceeding customer expectations and ensuring fiscal responsibility. 

Back in early October, Moore was named the new board chair for One Kids Place in North Bay.
