We are running out of days in February. It has been a pretty good month though.
Getting back to Friday’s action, we added another winning day with a 2-1 record. The Cavs let us down again, but the surging Knicks and Jrue Holiday kept us in the black — see below.
We have an unusually small slate of action this evening. There are just four games headlined by Boston visiting New York. This is a real chance for the Knicks to show us something.
NBA Sides: 36-27-1
NBA Props: 120-12
Winning Days: 22 (of 32)
New York Knicks -2 (win)
New York is one of the hottest teams in the league right now. It’s true.
Cleveland Cavaliers +1 (loss)
The Cavs are very talented but winning consistently on the road has eluded them.
Jrue Holiday Over 31.5 Points, Rebounds, and Assists (win)
It was not the monster game that I was looking for, but the well-rounded game of Holiday was evident on Friday.
New Orleans Pelicans -4 (vs Orlando Magic)
The Pelicans are still waiting for Zion Williamson to get back on the floor. At home, they have been strong all year though and while Orlando is showing some potential they have a lot of questions to be answered around rookie Paulo Banchero. They are 1-4 ATS over their last five and with so little production coming from their guards it is hard to be effective on the road. Brandon Ingram did not play when the Pels lost at Orlando last month.
Philadelphia 76ers -6 (vs Miami Heat)
I have to admit I am not high on the 76ers overall. I like them a lot here though because Miami is slumping right now and they should be motivated by some revenge, Miami knocked them out of the playoffs last season and this is the first time they have met this season. Philly is 22-11 ATS at home this season and with Embiid they have a matchup that is tough for the Heat to handle.
Grant Williams over 11.5 Points & Rebounds
Williams’ production has been down the last couple of games. Still, this is below seasonal averages and Jaylon Brown is “supposed” to be out tonight so he might see an uptick in minutes and usage. I also think guarding Julius Randle will increase his minutes too. Ten points and 5 boards get us the easy over tonight.
